Sun and Moon combinations

Your Sun sign is the one you already know - the sign the Sun occupied on your birthday, and the one every horoscope column means when it says “you”. It describes what you are consciously trying to be.

Your Moon sign is the other half of that, and it moves far too quickly for a birthday to tell you: the Moon changes sign every two and a half days, so two people born the same day can need entirely different things. The Moon describes what actually settles you - your instinctive reactions, what you reach for when tired or frightened, and the kind of care you recognise as care.

Reading the two together is more informative than reading either alone, because they so often disagree. A Capricorn Sun with a Pisces Moon is a person building something durable while privately needing far more softness than the project allows. That tension is not a flaw in the chart.
